In my previous post some people said that I should change the PSU from my PowerMac G5. My question: Is the AcBel 600 Watt PSU compatible with it? I am new to PowerMacs

My serial number is CK422H6MR5J . I looked it up on everymac.com and it says A1047 (EMC 1969) is my model name.

I picked my replacement up on eBay. Your powermacg5 is a dual 1.8ghz pcix at 604w, so you’ll need a 600w acbel psu specifically.

To verify, you could take your dead psu out preemptively. On the top of it there should be a sticker stating it’s watage.

Best of luck to you.

Okay, thanks. But before I buy a new one, can I verify that my PSU is definitely broken?
