I've had my new iPhone for two days, and this is bugging me. If i replace it, i have to drive 40 minutes to the apple store, and I'm wanting some of your suggestions on if its worth it.

Heres the issue i having, pictures should explain everything :( (phone is level, it thinks I'm tilting the phone left)

So, in order to keep it straight, i have to keep it tilted a good degree to the right..

I've never been a "picky" person, but its not just a "little" off.. Everything else on it is perfect, I'm just afraid I'll suffer some other issue if i get a replacement.. :(

Anyone?

I have an appointment at the apple store in the morning, but I'm just afraid of getting one with dust, light leakage, or cracks...

Is it worth it, risking a worse phone? Also i have my box and all, if i bring them my box and accessories will i get a NIB phone, or a "white box special"?

I bought it at a local ATT store...

ive done the same tests as you, mine tilts a little to the left too, I guess the accelerometer isn't perfect, I think its normal for all of the to be a little off

I got it replaced at the genius bar, they had fun showing it to everyone that worked there, especially with cro-mag, everyone was like "wow"

I'm just now getting the app crashing issue fixed on this new phone now..

Ehh, i think I'll be making another trip to the apple store. The seal around the edge is not as good and the first one, which was cosmetically perfect. This one has three pieces of lint under the glass, and two stuck pixels.

I guess I'll have another go, what do you guys think?

I have already called and made a case number, its just that the apple store is 40 minutes away. And this is the second phone in a week..

On my third trip to Apple the Genius gave to me
Three white lints
Two sticky pixels
And an iPhone with a bad seal

On my forth trip to Apple the Genius gave to me...

(let us know)

I would have listed "small light leak", but i fixed it. But also in the the process, i made the seal look "rough" in that spot :(:p

I'll probably make an appointment for Sunday, and pray for the best. I'm just wondering what they will do over two stuck pixels and three pieces of lint, the pixels are hard to see, so i doubt the genius will be able to see for himself, rather take my word for it.

edit: i can't believe this though, two phones in a row, and neither one is perfect. I paid $200 for this. I've and palm treo's and WM phones, but this is by far the most ridiculous experience.

Then go back to WM or Palm. No one is making you use an iPhone.

I'm so tired of seeing people complaing about the iPhone. It's just a phone, you act like it's a car or something. You act like $200 is a lot of money. Like you took a loan out on it or something.

They are mass produced, made-in-china phones. What do you expect?

no, I like the iPhone the best of all the phones I have owned. I was just saying that it shouldn't take returning it three times to get what I payed for...

WM and palm os are way too slow, and more buggy IMO...

I just got back, they replaced it due to the dust and stuck pixels.

This one i have now is perfect, no light leak, no "yellow" screen (i can see a big difference as apposed to the other two 3G's i had). This new one actually looks blue. And the screen is perfectly centered. I think its a week 37

Finally, the third one is a charm! :D
