How do I get to my mobile me account page from an iPhone? When I try I just get redirected to the page telling me how to download iDisk app.

Reason I am trying is let's say in at a cafe with my girlfriend and someone walks by and snags my phone. I would like to grab her iPhone, log into my mobile me account and use the locater/passcode lock right away.

Not exactly. Just from Safari :)

Just download IM+ LITE or any other app with a built in browser, and you can access me.com. With IM+ LITE you have type in the full address "http://www.me.com" for it to work. It's a little slow but it works if you really need it like the example you mention.

I'll try that. We travel a lot so our iPhones are our only link to the Internet. Otherwise I wouldn't be so turned off by this.

Also I've trie the locater and it show about a 5 mi radius on the map in the middle of Vegas. Which is right but useless to me. I thought it would be much more accurate. I've got 3g and location services enabled. Am j missing something?

That's really good to know, thanks. :)

Sounds similar to my wife and I. We don't carry a laptop around with us but the IM+ lite option to use the locator would work in the highly unlikely event that someone swipes my phone while sitting at Starbucks ;) We use MobileMe for all the other features and the locator was just a bonus.

As for the accuracy of the locator, I have the original iPhone with no 3G. Just Edge and the FMI returns pretty accurate results in most cases. usually within a couple hundred yards, if not dead on. I'm surprised that your 3g doesn't get better results than that. Maybe contact tech support and see if they can offer any better advice.

Are you inside? GPS in general works best when outside or has visibility of the sky.

Yes I'm inside. However when I use google maps it drops pinpoint right on my building.

Ill go outside and try but if that's true then I can only locate a thief when he's outside. That's hilarious.

Is it? Google maps on the iPhone is finding me very accurately. The .me site is showing 5 mi radius. And the .me site is using google maps lol.

Did you wait 3 min?

Mine is pinpointing me very accurately.
