Spotlight can only get them if you dumped them past the last page (page 11), but not if you deleted them.

spotbright is a program you can install via cydia that will add that functionality to spotlight search.. some people complain about a spotlight slow down though.

Used it and works great except I hate the icons of recently open apps. Looks shocking when apps have square icons.

hahah yeah apple automatically makes the icons look nice, even thought the icon.png file itself is ugly and square .. glad it helps
