Accessing control center with one swipe

i just upgraded to IOS 11.1.1. I use to adjust the brightness by a single. swipe from the bottom of the screen. Now if I AM in a app and swipe I get the dock bar. On a second swipe th app is minimized and I can accesss the control center... I don’t want the app minimized, just want to access the control center and NOT the dock.

Just keep swiping, dont let go when you see the dock

Thanks, half way there... I don’t want the app MINIMIZED. Any way to just get control center... im guessing the answer is no....

In iOS 11 on iPads the Control Center and multitasking view (what you’re referring to as ”app being minimized”) are combined. Can’t have one without the other.
