Accessing files of a wired share, over wifi?

If I connect a NAS to my iMac directly via crossover ethernet cable is it possible for other wifi devices on my network to access these shares through the iMac?

You can do this by mounting the volume on the iMac, then sharing that mount over the network. This may slow things down a bit though.

How do I share the volume, it's not selectable in sharing prefs when I come to add folders to share.
