A "little birdie" told me I might get an iBook for christmas.:D Should I get a Mighty Mouse? Also, should I get Microsoft Office 2004: Student and Teacher Edition or stick w/ Appleworks or w/e the iBook comes with?

Personally I hate the mighty mouse but know many people that love it so check it out for yourself and see what you think of it. As for Office 2004 no other app comes close, you should get it!

As much as I love my Mighty Mouse, they do have quality problems, so I recommend holding off on buying one. IMO, especially for students, MS Office is a must have.

I've only read one review that was positive for the Apple Mighty Mouse. The majority of posts here were negative regarding it. I liked using it in the Apple store, but tinkering for five minutes is by far a poor judgment call.

Microsoft Office 2004 is great, I've found zero cross-compatibility issues with so far and it does everything that the PC version does. I recommend it personally.

Oh and congrats on (possibly?) getting an iBook for Xmas; I bet it's even more difficult to wait now. :D

Im with you biohazard6969, I like the mighty mouse, but in all honesty there are definitely a handful of problems with it that will turn most people off.

Go with MS Office 04, especially since we are living in a MS Office dominated world, it is also more beneficial if your a student and don't want the headaches of compatibility problems with pcs.

wow i must be the only one who thinks the mighty mouse is awsome....the only thing that could make it better were if it were bluetooth

As a Apple only portable user for the last three years I also LOVED the Mighty Mouse the first time I used it. Never using a multi-button mouse in OS X I found the MM to have a very low learning curve.

After a few weeks my middle finger now right clicks on my MS Intelimouse just like the MM, or vice versa. ;)

I use MS Office 2004 quite frequently and I highly recommend it. At times it's a bit laggy but I prefer it over the windows version.

I don't have any advice on the mighty mouse I never used one but I hate the fact that it has a cable.
