Accidentally programed a emergency contact

How do i keep the contact but remove the emergency contact status.

Or go into the Contacts app, find that contact (marked by a large red asterisk in your list), scroll down until you see Remove from Emergency Contacts (in red), and tap on that. That function will change to blue text Add to Emergency Contacts.
