Hey guys,

I was using Iphone 4 on 4.1 ispw and 1.59.00 baseband

Few days ago I accidentally updated to 4.2.1 and updated my baseband to the newest one b/c i forgot to go thru "baseband preservation" step..

So the question is: if I have 4.0.1 and 4.1 SHSH blobs and restore to 4.0.1 with those blobs - will it downgrade my baseband?

No sorry, BB can not be downgraded. You'll have to wait for an unlock

There is NOT such a thing as "accidental" upgrade, once the BB have been upgraded, it cannot be downgrade back (Not at this time)

He sat there and watched as iTunes upgraded his phone for 45-80 minutes and forgot what he was doing after every second.

45-80 mins?!???

Mine took less than 10 mins (for the actual update, not including syncing once it was updated)

And even the download of the new OS by itunes was only a few mins!

hmmmm 45-80 mins reminds me of what it used to be like updating a Blackberry! I certainly don't miss that!

Unfortunately you cannot downgrade the baseband.

Quick question... How do you accidently update your phone ?

Accidental in terms that I upgraded thru Itunes instead of Tiny Umbrella to preserve BB. I knew for a fact that you could downgrade firmware with blobs but thought BB would work as well. Dang it
