I've only had it for about a month and it fell out of my bag. It's still working great, but take a look at this:

See here.

There's a dent in the left corner on the front. Anything I can do to get it fixed/replaced?

You can pay apple to get it fixed.

I think it'll be easier to see if you took a picture that was properly focused...

I did that to a PowerBook I had a while back, the whole side where the ports were popped out and the lid had a serious dent. It worked flawlessly and was only one month old, but I knew I was screwed if anything went wrong with it in the future because when it came to warranty Apple would just tell me I must have caused the problem when I did what ever caused the dent so it wouldn't be covered.

I had two choices:- pay $1300 for a new lower case (and goodness knows how much the lid would cost) or sell it. I sold it.

If it was on or in sleep mode at the time of the drop, beware the hard drive failing.

It seems pretty minor. It'll be costly for Apple to fix.

Also, the picture is really big and blurry. Try again next time. ;)

The hard drive head should be parked and platters spun down when it's sleeping, yes? If it's not, that's just poor design. If it is, then it'd be no different from having the machine off.

So the durability of the macbook pros are pretty good? Metal Dents and Plastic cracks so I know that. Its like everything on my Macbook pro is awesome... I'm just worried that one day I'll take it somewhere and I'll scratch it, etc....

How is the durability of the MBPs pretty good? You already know it is succeptible to dents and bends, stuff that the Macbook can shrug off.

People dropping a Macbook = 100% non issue.
Bump into a door frame with your MBP and there goes 30% your resale value.

I had a similar experience yesterday when my macbook fell off my desk when a stack of books collapsed and pushed it off. The white plastic got a little scuffed up but it is still working great. I was really afraid that it had been damaged worse than a few scuffs and scratches, but i still haven't seen any problems yet.

Lenovo did a presentation for my school district and I left sick. She was showing the durability of those things and it was sick the way she abused this thing to prove it. I am one of these people that flips out if you just touch a LCD screen, she grabbed it by the LCD and tossed it on the desk next to her and the proceded to put it back on the other desk by slamming it. UGH I cringed at it.

Oh yeah.. I believe the Thinkpad T60s have drain holes on the bottom in case you spill something.
