Accidently renaming songs on Itunes Match

Hello,

I have accidentally renamed around 300 songs in my iTunes library which has then been updated on iTunes Match.

Is there any way to restore my previous version of Match?

I basically selected 300 songs by accident instead of the 3 I wanted and changed the Artist and Album name. So I now have songs from various artists / albums all with the same Artist name and Album name.

I have iTunes Match on another mac but worried if I load this up it will copy my error over to my 2nd mac? Unless I can get my 2nd mac to update and correct my error?

It's already updated my iPhone with match on it.

Any help will be much appreciated!

I don't think Match will be able to correct this, since your changes have already been uploaded to the cloud. Check the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder in your iTunes directory. It should have a recent backup copy of the library file. If you havn't had many other changes since the then, I would recommend to back up everything and try overwriting your main .itl with the backup copy. However, this will likely fail if you have set iTunes to manage the files for you ("keep iTunes folder organized"), since it will then have renamed all the files by now and the old library will not match anymore.

You can try selecting all the songs and "Get Track Names", which could set them all back to what you want

That's a good idea. However, I believe this only works on tracks that were imported from CDs using iTunes (since it relies on a disc identifier that iTunes stores only when it does the actual disc ripping).
