Account Hacked??? ID mixup?

I have just DFU restored my phone.

Took an age but it got there.

I entered my Apple ID and password as normal to setup, then it gets to a similar page where it says enter password for iTunes purchases but the email address was ***fshp@gmail.com or something...... This email address has nothing to do with me...

So I skipped it.

Then it does the same again but for a different email address I couldn't recognise.

WTF is going on here? Hacked somehow?

This happened to me the other week. I was making a backup on my 5s before going to purchase a 6 - after I got the new phone I did restore from iCloud backup, enter my normal Apple ID, then it prompted me to enter a password for another account completely unassociated with mine. I just hit skip, did the iCloud restore, then went to iTunes / App Store settings in the settings app, signed out, then signed back into my normal account and it stopped prompting me.

Not sure why this happens, other people have said if someone sends you a music file or video purchased with someone else's ITunes account that will trigger it, but in my case nothing I had was ever sent from anyone. Doing what I mentioned above seemed to do the trick for me.

It would be best not to post somebody's email address in the forum like that, even if it's nobody you know. They'll be getting a ton of spam soon unless you edit your post to remove it.

That prompt you see comes up when you have iTunes goods on your phone which were purchased by other people. Perhaps that is the cause in your case. I don't know much about it but our family phones do that because we have shared some apps or books with each other.

Hi, I found this page by Googling the email address annfshp@gmail.com which appeared in iTunes.

It was on a PC so might be related to malware.
