I know that there is a discussion at the end of The Weather Channel thread, but I know that I wouldn't have opened an old thread and would have missed it if I hadn't seen it on AppShopper. Here's their discussion: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/597060/

This really seems like a great app! It does only show the hourly forecast out for 5 hours, but has some other cool feathers, including animated radar (which I can test because we aren't having any precipitation in our state!) It has some indicies (UV, Air Quality, Arthritis, Flu) and Risk factors (on easy to see bars) like T-Storms, Rain, Snow, Ice, Wind, and Fog.

I like this much better than the TWC app, although in order to watch the local forecast video, you have to watch an ad and a brief national forecast first.

too bad the radar sucks. only updates every 15 minutes and is not very detailed.

Radarscope is the place for real animated nexrad radar.

Somehow the weather reading for this App, compared to the default Weather app on the iPhone and the TWC is somehow off for my area.. Inaccurate on Seattle possibly.

I've noticed this too in my area. Temperatures are different by about 4 degrees and "feels like" temp shows a 7 degree difference. I wonder who is right?

Still, I love this app. The UI is beautiful compared to TWC with the illustration of the current weather condition. The only glaring weaknesses are the radar, the hourly temp (we need more than just 5 hours, and I would easily pay 1-2 dollars if I didn't have to have the ads taking up 20% of the screen.
