Canader eh
I spend long hours in front of my 23" ACD's and find my eyes sting. So I know that you do not blink your eyes enough when staring at a monitor/tv. So I blink more. But, still stinging. So I moved my brightness down to a tad less than half. Still stinging. I don't want it too dark or else colour matching is harder, I find. Plus, it makes it harder to read.

As for my set-up, my room is rectangular and I'm at a corner desk with a big fluorescent light on the ceiling, in the middle.

Any recommendations, besides the obvious?

Cheers,

Brad

Try to take periodic breaks if possible.

Maybe try using some eye drops (I use them for my contacts and they help dry/sore eyes). :)

What is optimal distance? I'd say I am 2-feet + without measuring yet...

Only minor allergies, stuffy nose once in awhile.

That seems like plenty of distance to be away. Not sure of what the "recommended" distance is though.... :)
