Acer 27" Monitor (H277HU) Compatibility

Just a shot in the dark here but are any other Mac Rumors forum users there having trouble getting this monitor to connect via Thunderbolt on their new Mac Mini? Works fine on my MacBook, but I get nothing from the Mini when using the same cable (it just cycles through the input options then reports that there's no connected cable). It does connect to the Mini via HDMI 2.0 port just fine but I need that port for another monitor.

Any insight folks might have would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same monitor and I absolutely hate it. I bought it a little less than 2 years ago. The USB-C port failed on the first one within the 30 day return period so I got a replacement. The replacement worked with USB-C to my laptop since then and it failed again recently. It does what you're saying in terms of cycling through and reporting no cable. I used mine to power my laptop as well and it doesn't charge either so i think the port is dead on my monitor. Not very helpful but pissed that I spent over $300 on that junk.
