Acess control lists (acl's)

hey people
im (still) trying to get my PB connected to a wanadoo livebox. however im apparantly not on its acl or access control list. im having trouble finding this list on my fathers pc which is the primary computer using the boradband service. im guessing the acl will be held on this pc. any ideas where i can find it?

also slightly strange. tried to watch a film on the train a few days ago to find only one earphone worked. i was worried i had borken the port however i search and saw of some bug which shifts the balance to one side so all i had t do was readjust the balance. strange huh? anyone else notice this on a rev. e 12" PB 1.5 super?

Please give some help with my internet problem... my last thread was viewed many a time with no responses

I am not familiar with wanadoo liveboxs however. A couple questions. First does the wanadoo livebox act as a router? so does the cable from it go into the PC? or to a router? The ACL list should be on the wanadoo livebox itself not on the PC. If it is set up the way I think it is. So you need to access its set up page, from the PC it should be a program or a web interface.

yeh the 'livebox' acts as a router. the pc is connected to it wirelessly. functions are changed on the pc. configuration is via the pc. is the ACL an actual list? so i just allow my computer or do i had to manually open up a port in the firewall? o the confusion. lol
if i dont get answers by tomorrow i may have to resort to the wanadoo helpline which im kinda dreading. lol

How do you know its the ACl list not letting you on? Could it be WPA or WEP security? If it is the ACL list(yes its a list) on the PC find out what the IP of the PC is. Then go to a web browser and type in that address except change the last digit to a .1 see if that brings something up. I have never heard of a wanadoo livebox so this is just general for most routers.
