Hi, I am looking for someone to help me with the fundamental service and mac technician exam.
I had failed a fundamental exam two times and it is extremely expensive for the AppleCare technician training course. It will be an online session, I would like to learn and become certified.

Thank you

What are you exactly failing on for the fundamentals?..

From when I had completed my ACMT, there were 3 different factors you had to get to pass the fundamentals part of it - which was getting a certain amount of the health and safety + ESD questions correct, and to achieve past a certain percentage (75%??).

Secondly, are you paying for a course for this ACMT -- if not, you are going to struggle to achieve at least a pass in the proper ACMT-side exam on it, as the questions rely on prior knowledge of machines, ability to search for answers, and access/use of Apple's GSX website.

For passing the fundamentals - all that can really be said is to make sure you're revising correctly on things that are relevant to the exam.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I haven't try ACMT yet, but that's my goal and it requires me to pass the fundamentals service exam. I got 77% for the second time, I struggle in the Customer Experience section the most.

I think the best way for this as you suggested is to learn from Applecare course.
Thank you so much, TwoH

What scores are you getting exactly for each individual section? Because I believe that would be a pass as long as you got 10/12 correct on health & safety, and ESD questions..

It might have changed a bit since I've done it last year, but I'd expect a similar format

For Customer Experience - 19/23
ESD safety - 10/12
Describe basic iOS.... Apple ID - 11/15
Servicing embedded batteries - 9/12
Evaluate Isolate and resolve issues 5/8

Another way is by improving the score on describe basic ios...apple id section, but one thing that really concerns me is if I failed again. I spend $60 and get nothing. That is why I am looking for a tutor to educate me more.

If I understand correctly, you're paying to take the exam, but you don't have access to the training materials? That seems to be a waste of good money.

Exams of this sort include questions that are product/manufacturer-specific - all the general knowledge and experience you may have may not be enough. If you don't have open-book access to the product-specific info (step-by-step procedure articles, etc.), then you could take the exam many times and still not succeed. In fact, one of the "skills" they test for is whether you know how to find that product-specific info. As a certified tech, they expect that you will open and follow their step-by-step procedures. Even the assistance of a tutor may not help, as you may still not be given the specific facts that come up on the test.

Believe you'd have needed at least 10/12 on servicing embedded batteries, else it is a fail by default no matter the percentage.
10/12 on both ESD safety and servicing embedded batteries -- sorry, not health and safety (although it kinda ties into it).
and it is either above 75% or 80% mark you need to pass.

Thank you so much TwoH and ApfelKuchen for suggestions. I think I will have to purchase the course as you suggested that this is extremely specific to their product and how apple's employee work?

Have a great day,
