I am a college student whose on-campus internet blocks Acquisition. Anyone know how to get around this?

Also, since coming home for a break, Acquisition still will not connect, though it used to when I was home a few months ago. Any ideas? I've tried calling Apple and my internet provider, both are little help. Perhaps I just don't have enough knowledge of firewall and internet interworkings to figure this out. Please help!

Your school is blocking access to the ports Acquisition needs for communication. Unless you have friends in the IT department, you'r SOL. As for @ home, I would suggest: (from their website)

"If you are located behind a firewall, it is imperative that you open the gnutella port (6346). In transferring a file, the recipient may contact the source or vice versa. If you have not opened your port, it is much harder to contact your computer to start the transfer."
