Other Action button start video recording immediately shortcut?

The action button can open the camera app but it's not enough.

Is there a way (maybe a shortcut?) to start the camera AND start recording immediately?

Try using the Take Video action in a Shortcut. That has the option to start recording immediately.

When you stop the recording, there's an extra layer of 'retake or 'use video' to save the video with this action.
It looks like this

Correct, I'm not aware of a way to skip that step.
