Did Apple kill these off in Yosemite? In Mavericks, I used to be able to act upon from notifications from banners and alerts from apps like Mail, Messages and Calendar but those no longer appear. Am I just missing something?

Using the public beta by the way.

Thanks!

Have you checked System Preferences -> Notifications? There you can change the types of notifications or alerts you get per app.

Yeah, I have them set to Alert for Calendar and Banner for Messages, since that's why I had set in Mavericks but the only option I get, for Alerts, is 'Close'. In Mavericks, you could hover over the banner and get the Reply option. I really only want the 'Accept' option for Calendar invites back as that was all I ever used anyway.

Huh, I could have sworn they worked just the other day, but now that I tried it, I get no notifications either. No banners, alerts, and nothing shows up in Notification Center. Strange.
