has ANYONE experienced this problem?? I successfully had my iPhone activated on the phone today around 12:45.... i instantly received the email from itunes store and my phone was great until i realized that i had no service and no service was coming any time shortly

i just got off the phone with a lady again who said she tried sending the activation twice .. she also asked me if i received an email(which i didn't) she told me its another waiting game

anyone know how to get this resolved?

I've had some similar issues. I was trying to port my number in from Verizon, but iTunes couldn't do it (it would have been nice if i had found the work around, but it wasn't discovered until later). Anyways, i decided to just take whatever number they gave me and worry about it later. At the AT&T store the guy ended up having to give me a new SIM card (don't ask me why), but for the initial programming he just did it in his phone cause he didn't want to touch the iPhone. Anyways, my old SIM card was then deactivated or something, and i had no service.

They finally just got my number finished porting over this morning, so prior to that i was on a "temporary number"... you sure you aren't on something like that?

thats a bit different than my experience... i was on the old 'blue plan' and bought the iPhone planning on moving to the new iPlan

i want to use my exisiting att number but now on my iphone... although they said they have sent the activation to the att server my old sim is still active and my iPhone has yet to get service

i haven't opened the phone yet to try the sim card in another phone because of warrenty reasons but if this thing doesn't become active by end of business day.. i will be heading to the att store to have them figure it out (maybe i do need a new sim?)
