Activating an already activated iPhone

Hi, well since my dad is or seems ineligible for the upgrade i am wondering if I can give him my phone and let him activate it than he will upgrade to the new 3G one. Will that work?

Also, since it's already activated on the family computer can we sync it on the same computer? Can this even be done?

no need to reactivate it if its unlocked. If your dad is with att, he will have to put his sim in and activate it. You can sync multiple phones on one computer.

So are you saying its possible to have TWO DIFFERENT phone numbers/lines activated on ONE iphone so that BOTH phone numbers/lines are eligible for the new iPhone upgrade price?

If so, that's sweet. And how do you do it?
