It's my sister's birthday and she got the iPhone 3G S. She's letting me use her iPhone until January (which is when I'm eligible for an upgrade to get the new iPhone for $199). I'm on a FamilyPlan with unlimited text messaging right now. When I activate my iPhone on iTunes, will it still keep me on the FamilyPlan with unlimited texting or will I have to call AT&T and talk to them?

Anytime you activate a first generation iPhone, you sign a two year contract. You shouldn't have a problem extending the contract on your line unless the owner of the primary line hasn't added you as an authorized user.

In that case you'll either have to call AT&T or have the owner of the primary line call for you.
