Activating it via AirPlay

If my apple tv is sleeping and I go to AirPlay something from iTunes, iTunes will fail to AirPlay it and the apple tv won't wake up. Do others experience this?

That doesn't sound normal. If I choose to AirPlay a song in iTunes or my iOS device it automatically wakes up my AppleTV. You might want to reset it.

FWIW: Both my ATV2 and iTunes on a wired network and playing a song from iTunes wakes up the ATV2.

Thanks for your feedback people. I just updated Apple TV last night with whatever that incremental version is. Perhaps that will solve the problem, I haven't had the opportunity to check yet.
