On Friday my wife and I will be buying 2 iPhones and signing up for a Family Talk plan. Here's my question, how's it going to work if I have to enter my apple ID before signing up? Will it create any problems that her phone was activated using my apple ID and on my computer? Will it try to sync all of my data to her iPhone or will there be some sort of prompt for me to disconnect from my computer after activation and before sync?

Just a thought. I know we don't have a definite answer from Apple yet.

you can activate multiple phones

looking for screenshot... brb

Yes, it's somewhere within the Activation & Sync video on Apple's website that you can activate multiple phones this Friday.

I understand that in the video it shows the option to activate two phones, and I'm sure Apple has thought through this...but I'm just questioning at what point I'll be able to disconnect my wife's phone from my computer so she can connect it to her MacBook to sync? And will it be a problem that she's going to sync it on her MacBook, but it was activated on my MacBook Pro?

Ah... if anything like an iPod... it won't matter. Just pick the iTunes you want to sync with.
