Other day when I was switching to another carrier and the carrier provided me a new sim card to activate on their network. When I popped in the sim card to activate the service, the Activation Lock screen came up, and I guess that's because I have left Find My iPhone turned on.

Later when I got home and I was curious, so I've tried inserting my couple other old deactivated sim cards into my iPhone while Find My iPhone is still on, but the activation lock screen never came on. Why is that? It seems almost like those deactivated sim cards are bypassing my Activation Lock?
