Last week I purchased a few eSim from AT&T if you use a 3rd party QR Code app on iPhone it will give a SM-DP address and a activation code I discovered yesterday that you can use just the Sm-DP address on AT&T and it will generate a eSIM

AT&T SM-DP Address:
cust-001-v4-prod-atl2.gdsb.net

Do you have any clue on how to move your current number from the regular SIM to the eSIM? This way I could use the regular sim tray overseas.

That's probably because it pulls the eSIM you had already activated. It doesn't work on new devices.

Just had a very surprising on line chart with AT&T support staff. I was prepared answer on eSIM would be the same corp BS, out of my surprise, he asked me which BETA software version that I am running. After I told him that I am on 12.1.1 Beta2, he said eSIM is available to be activated on my device. Then asked my zip code, and checked nearest AT&T store in my area who has the eSIM QR code card (the blue one), and even made an appointment for me at store to activate my eSIM. Also told me that he had updated notes on my account to ensure the proper service from the store. This is almost "to good to be true" based on all the customer service experiences that I had with any cell phone companies in the past........ I guess that I will find out tomorrow if all became true.

Did it work? I'm desperately trying to find out as I just got off the phone with customer service at att who is telling me they aren't supporint eSim technology until 2019 yet I read your post and it sounds like they are.

No luck with AT&T store. Seem online support and stores are on two different plants. When I made to my appointment, was been told and (showed) the corp memo: stores are "NOT TO ACTIVATE" eSIM for customers and all eSIM cards (the blue card with QR code) "NEED TO BE SECURED" until further notice. Very frustrated!

Well, that's more like AT&T. I was genuinely surprised by your earlier post and eagerly started looking for your next post to find out if it actually worked. Good luck and please keep us informed of any progress.
