I’m still waiting for UPS to get here. I’m trying to decipher all these posts.

Are these phones not activating on Verizon? Should me and my mom wait a day or 2?

We don’t transfer any data just use iCloud and gmail.

i went from 13PM esim to the 14PM and it did not transfer the number over, i had to make a stop at Verizon. but now everything is working perfectly

Absolutely no issues. As soon as I received my new 14 PM purple phone, I turned it on. Did not intend to do the transfer right away but somehow I just kept following the screen and ended up doing an iPhone to iPhone transfer. It was the easiest transfer for me ever. I always did transfer via iTunes backup in the past. Transferred Xs Max sim to 14 PM eSim so smoothly. A lot of folks were panicking the last few days about sim-eSim conversion. Those worries are overblown 😄. I even forgot to turn off "Find my iPhone", but all seems good. My carrier is VZW.

Everyone is making it seems like the plague.

Everyone meaning a handful of people who make it seem like the sky is falling. Remember that most people do not post about things that work the way they are supposed or have the sense to know it's likely a rare issue that can be solved with a touch of patience. But there are always the handful of people who have issues want the world to stop for them. Misery loves company.

im in the small group of folks who cant activate iMessage or Facetime. i upgraded to iOS 16.0.1 in my iphone 14 pro after setting everything up and it didnt fix the issue. i connected to my mac and did a restore, which involved my mac downloading 16.0.1 and installing it. still didnt fix the issue. im trying a restore one more time, and if it doesnt work i'll patiently spend my friday evening off the text grid and try again tomorrow.

I ported my number over from AT&T to Verizon, so its possible that the switch is leading to this issue. i dont know, im not a doctor.

I have two phones on two different providers. My Verizon phone worked like a charm. Physical SIM -> eSim. My T-Mobile one won't work. Not sure if an eSim -> eSim transfer is what's causing the issue. I'm sure they can fix it in store.

I bought an unlocked version and when I went to set it up it just asked if I wanted to move my Verizon phone number over. That was it.

I'm without a phone at the moment. Went from a SIM to eSIM and wasn't able to transfer over easily. Contacted Verizon Support and they just messed everything up. They tried to activate my main IMEI and didn't work. Then they tried my 2nd IMEI and that didn't work. They said so many people were activating that it's causing issues with the system. They said to check back in 24 hours if the activation hasn't been completed. I'm on a prepaid plan if that means anything. Can't imagine there would be any issues there but that's where I'm at right now
