I will likely be picking up an iPhone from an AT&T store in the next few weeks. I live in Florida, and will probably be moving out of state (new job) in the next month. Since I'll be driving to my new destination, I'd rather have a cell phone with me for the trip.

If I understand correctly I should be able to walk into the AT&T store, buy the phone and handle the activation at home without having them do anything in the store? Further, I suspect I should use whatever my new address is going to be so I get a local number assigned to me, instead of one local to where I am in Florida, correct?

Anything else I should look out for?
Thanks.
