Greetings!

I have an old iPod touch 4G, 32Gb that I had jail broken years ago. I jail broke it last year and it was great. I had to wipe it 6 months ago, and since then the activator would ignore my gestures. I wiped it today with the help of a friend and same thing.

For example, I set "slide in Gesture" From screen bottom to say simulate app switcher and the app does nothing. Some things work such as play music when connected to external power. But it seems gestures are nada. Im running IOS 5.1.1. Anyone else have this issue?

I've had it with a few gestures and I'm on iOS 9.0.2.

Never figured out why, but it seems to completely ignore some gestures and/or hardware buttons.

Started being a thing in early 2016 I think.

If you can get your hands on an older version that may be better.

Sometimes the devs leave older versions up and Cydia will let you downgrade. Try tapping on the re-install button. If you get the downgrade option then they've done that.

Otherwise, yet it's a hunt for a DEB file or you can contact the dev and see if he has an older version.

Use iFile, or Filza.

It's easy if you connect one or the other to Dropbox. iFile seems to be having lots of issues lately so I might suggest Filza. If you don't have Dropbox, you can use another service or have Filza connect to an FTP share.

Transfer the DEB, then open it using the app. You'll be asked how you want to open it. The choice you want is the installer.

It will unpack and install. Unlike Cydia though you won't be asked to respring or return. When it's done, just exit the app and either respring or reboot.

And you're done at this point. Should be installed.

No problem! Glad it's functioning now. Just make sure in Cydia you set it to ignore updates. :)

Which version did you go with?

Not sure how to set it.
as for the version I think it was 1.7.2 but Cydia Doesn't say. it just wants me to update. I need a slightly newer version but for now it will do.

In Cydia, find the package.

Change Package Settings (at the top)…
