Since installing Yosemite I'm experiencing frustratingly slow speeds when browsing the internet on my 2012 macbook pro. I opened Activity Monitor to see if there was any obvious cause and kept discovering com.apple.geod wasn't responding. I tried force quitting it, but it reappears. Anyone know what this means please?

That process is part of OS X location services. I often see the same thing and I think it is just a bug in Yosemite at this point.

It would not cause your Internet speeds to run slow.

I've seen come.apple.geod and spotify web something often crashed in the activity monitor. At most, they would eat up RAM until force quit.

Is it your internet or WiFi running slow? Mine is fine but there are many on here posting that WiFi speeds are lower with Yosemite for some reason...

I've usually got com.app.geod, SafariNotificationAgent and SpotifyWebHelper all "Not Responding". Disappointing since they were perfectly responsive pre-Yosemite
