I have a Series3 GPS watch and updated to 7.1 recently. I am seeing that the activity ring is not updating even if the exercise was tracked through the native app. Anyone else had this issue?
On a different note, strava app on the watch doesn't want to connect to the phone at all :(. Uninstalled it, restarted the watch and reinstalled, but nothing worked.

Is this apple's way of forcing me to buy a new watch:mad:

I have a Series 3 Cellular watch - had to update my 7 Plus to 14.2 to get activity ring on watch to update to phone. I've completed my rings every day since January 1st and was so bummed when this happened to me yesterday. The activity showed on the watch but not on the phone. Chatted with Apple this morning and they called me and got it sorted out. You don't need a new watch ..... if you can't get it to work call or on line chat with Apple.

Apple's customer service even for those of us who don't regularly update our equipment is amazing to me.

Thanks for the response. My watch is paired with a XS updated to 14.2. Will try giving apple a call.

Spoke to Apple support today. In watchos 7, they have updated the thresholds of what can be logged to the advance the exercise ring. A leisurely bike ride at 6mph will not move the ring. I was told that for biking it needs to be at-least 9mph, walking/running pace of less than 18min/mile. This is not documented anywhere, just what the rep mentioned on the call.
