I plan on getting a 4G iPod Touch when they come out, and am wondering you really think a case is just for scratch protection or will protect against drops? If all you think all it does is prevent scratches then im getting a BSE.

By god

No thanks, id rather not spend $30+ on a case.

Uh, you're probably gonna be hard pressed to find a DECENT case under 30 bucks. That's a pretty reasonable amount.

However, that doesnt mean spend 30 bucks on something like this...I cannot stand those cases. It reminds me of those motorola phones people have to use on construction sites :| if you're looking for a durable case that's not so ENORMOUS, I suggest looking up the Bellkin grip vue. Just saying :] DON'T GET THE CLEAR ONE THOUGH.

Switcheasy makes some nice cases for under $30.

Well, the BSE is only $7.99, so i thought if the case only protects against scratch damage then i would save myself some cash.

Yea but Switcheasy doesn't included shipping. And tax and all that. We don't even get Swticheasy's in Canada. I recommend the Speck Candyshell if they decide to make one for iPod Touch 4G.

I dropped my current Touch at 5 ft with a candyshell onto tarmac and nothing happened. It's really good.

I doubt i will buy directly from Switcheasy; most likely eBay. I like the candyshell too but its just kinda boring, plus, it doesnt come with all the cool accesories like products from switcheasy.

Remember the Rebel Touch you recommended I get? Well, it's on my iPod now and it's amazing, and I can vouch that it absorbs the shock of a drop.

Course. Hmmmmm.... I think ill get an actual case, i probably wont have to worry about scractches so much if they get rid of that awful chrome, i think ill stick with Switcheasy (my favorite) and get a rebel if they have one. I would buy a "ribcage" if they have one for the 4G, it looks pretty nice and should provide a grip.

I voted yes, but my iPod Classic has never dropped more than a foot or so. The primary purpose for the case I have is more for protection from scratches. I would never trust a case to protect my iPod, especially the Classic with a hard drive.

I dont think ill be dropping my iPod Touch much either. :rolleyes: Im getting a actual case, thanks.

If they come out for the next gen touch, I'd get 2. One for the iPod, and one to put on display to show everyone I have an awesome case.

:rolleyes:, id rather not spend an extra $30 for a showcase. ;) They should have more cases for the Touch. I love the design of the Capsule Rebel, and it probably has a good grip.

Well, the Capsule Rebel is basically the same as the Rebel Touch. They both have a great grip (friend has one on 3GS) and look great.

The Capsule Rebel just looks cooler.
I like BSE, thats if you can put it on right
Why wouldnt i?

I will most likely get a BSE for my Touch if they keep the chrome, but if not i will probably just get a real case only and a screen protector. I think im getting a BSE for my nano.

I'd go with the Belkin Grip Vue;
A little pricey but great styly and protection

Capsule Rebel;
Cool design not so great protection

Otterbox;
Great protection but makes products look too thick

BSE;
No idea what that is

I'd go with the Belkin Grip Vue

I dont like how boring most of them are.

Are you kidding me? It has great protection; it uses ADSP (Adaptive Dynamic Soft Polymer) with a outer rib hard shell. Pretty much like the candy shell.

Too expensive.

Its like a BodyGuardz or a Invisible Sheild except a different brand and way cheaper.

I think im going to stick with the RebelTouch or something else from Switcheasy.

RebelTouch and Belkin Grip Vue :cool:

Doesn't Switcheasy make RebelTouch?:confused:
Yes, but i was saying i might not get the RebelTouch if they come out with something else i like more, or if they just dont make a RebelTouch for it.

They will make a NUDE, Colors, and a pure.
