It seems iOS 10 doesn't play nicely with Purify. Is there any other ad blocker that works?
Thanks for your answers.

Has anybody been able to make this filter work on mobile Safari?

Basically it prevents Facebook from updating your online status.
How do you configure 1Blocker to hide AdChoices? I tried the free version, perhaps the paid version hides them?I've been happy with 1Blocker after trying a few others
Quite a few other (free) ad/content blockers to try (without any VPN/proxy aspects to them). How do you configure 1Blocker to hide AdChoices? I tried the free version, perhaps the paid version hides them?
I'm using Adblock Mobile, which does hide them in apps, but the whole VPN thing it uses I'm not so sure about. Maybe someone can chime in if they are familiar with Adblock Mobile. What's with the VPN thing?
Yes, as I can see there are tons of them! Total waste of a response...any good suggestions??Quite a few other (free) ad/content blockers to try (without any VPN/proxy aspects to them).
Clearly not a waste to suggest something else if the ones you were trying aren't doing the job or you aren't sure about them. Some alternatives have already been mentioned in this thread. Many others are easy to find out about in many places online, including various threads about blockers here at MacRumors like https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/the-ios-9-content-blocker-thread.1916783/ and https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-9-content-blockers-mini-reviews.1918483/Yes, as I can see there are tons of them! adguard, refine. crystal if the dev kept caring about his app & didnt turn into an idiot
Some people have had some issues in different betas, while others didn't/don't or were able to get things working by disabling and re-enabling things.Didn't Apple in at least one of the betas have ad blocking not working on the iOS 10 betas?
Tried it, wasn't quite what I was looking for. I was hoping it would block ads in apps, not just Safari.Get Adguard and be done with. The best and it's actually supported by the developer unlike most of the other apps.
Quite honestly I've had that issue come up occasionally as well. I imagine there are custom rules you can add, however the issue hasn't been intrusive enough for me to track it down. How do you configure 1Blocker to hide AdChoices? I tried the free version, perhaps the paid version hides them?

Then you're looking for a profile/fake vpn type of app.Tried it, wasn't quite what I was looking for. I was hoping it would block ads in apps, not just Safari.
Content/ad blockers as introduced in iOS 9 are for Safari and not apps. For something that would affect apps the only choices are those that use VPN or proxy and work somewhat differently because of that.Tried it, wasn't quite what I was looking for. I was hoping it would block ads in apps, not just Safari.
That's what I've found with iOS, you either have to go through VPN or be connected to wifi to kill the ads in apps. I was a long-time user of Android and my whole purpose of rooting back then was just to add a custom .host file. Then you're looking for a profile/fake vpn type of app.

I've emailed and sent tweets to Purify developer for some time to no success. The app hasn't been updated in ages. I would move on and use 1Blocker.It seems iOS 10 doesn't play nicely with Purify. Is there any other ad blocker that works?
