I used to use crystal but hasn't been updated in 2 years.

So any decent free ad blocking apps that don't use your data, or affect battery.

Thanks

Is Purify the best atm? I use 1Blocker X atm, but it seems for me that it is suffering battery life?

There are certainly quite a few to choose from like Firefox Focus, Adguard, BlockBear, Norton Ad Blocker, Ka-Block, etc.

i have been using adguard.
https://adguard.com/en/adguard-ios/overview.html

i have the free version and it works fine for the browser. i think you have to pay to get it to block ads in apps. most of my apps are paid/premium, so i don't have that issue.

Will adguard block sites that take over the full screen like those fake Amazaon award sites? I have to keep JAVA off as that seems to pop on a few sites I enjoy

Can you post a link to one or two such sites? I can test and let you know. :)

1Blocker seems to have stopped development. Dev showed up two months ago saying they are working on something, but nothing so far

I still use AdBlock Mobile. It's no longer available in the App Store, but it blocks ads everywhere. Sucks that Apple keeps cracking down on these kinds of applications -- especially when some apps do not offer a paid option to remove ads.

Why on earth should Apple NOT crack down on these apps? It’s a huge security risk with these ****** VPN adblocks.

I’ve been using them for a decade without problem. Don’t get your panties in a bunch.

Go ahead and have intrusive ads pop up in all your apps. To me they are ugly and slow down the experience. If a VPN ad blocker is what I have to use, I will.

I don't think 1Blocker has stopped development as they released a new update a week ago or so.

I use 1Blocker X and I'm pretty happy about it. Haven't used any other, only 1Blocker Legacy before it.
