Continuing the buttoning up of the install of Sonoma 14.2.1......

When I installed Adblock (with a hand sign) and Adblock Plus (with "ABP" as sign), both have greyed out icons at Safari's menu bar. When I clicked on the greyed out icon, I was greeted with this message:

Accessing your passwords, credit card #--those are serious privacy violations! Leave the icons greyed out, thereby denying the extensions' intrusion into your privacy, I guess?

Even when greyed out, those extensions are still blocking the unwanted ads on a web page, correct?

That is an optional setting on adblockers and legit.

If you don't enable it, the adblockker will still work, but you won't be able to use the "block an element" feature that allows you to select things to block on specific web sites. The only way for that feature to work is to allow the blocker to see what is on the page being displayed, and that might include passwords etc.
