I've tried a bunch of ad blockers and have seemed to settled on both 1Blocker Premium and AdGuard Pro.

But I don't want or think I need two different blockers. Do you recommend one over the other ? Or something better ?

I mainly want to stop web ads in Safari and also Chrome. I don't want ads in my apps like Yahoo Sports or Tumblr. And would love one that could stop YouTube ads, right using ProTube app instead of the official YouTube app because the ads are off the charts.

1blocker doesn't block ads in apps afaik, Adguard pro is the best blocker at the moment and i have tried almost all of them!
Also it is being updated frequently!

Does Adguard Pro also block ads in Flipboard and YouTube and maybe even Twitter?

What's the benefit of using a VPN? And does using a VPN slow down web browsing in any way?

Cheers for the input.

I use 1Blocker, and it's pretty much the only one I'm satisfied with. It uses the Content Blocker API in Safari, and has an app for macOS too. The upside of this is that app developers will still get their rightful revenue from in-app ads, but the downside is that Safari WebViews in apps don't seem to be affected by 1Blocker.

How do I get the ad blocker to not block video? I have had legit video blocked on NFL.COM

If NFL uses ads in their video player you may be blocking the video from playing due to the fact that the ads do not play. If you're using 1Blocker you can whitelist the domain.

Disconnect Pro user here. Got it on discount and very content with it.

Quite like Mozilla Focus and Adblock Fast as well.
