I recently got my first iOS device and would like to know if anyone has found an ad-blocker that is consistent in not blocking non-ad content. Specifically, I'm having a problem with AdBlocker and The New York Times. Even when the site is white-listed, it prevents Safari from rendering the video content that appears at the middle and sometimes the top of the front page, when it's merely static, not yet even playing. Is this perhaps how HTML5 videos are treated by ad-blockers in iOS in general?

Thanks for any tips.

refine does fine that i notice anyway. it uses adblock plus easylist+easyprivacy so anything adblock plus on computer works/doesnt work for, this should be the same. can create &/or download custom new rules too.

I just gave Refine a try. Unfortunately, it won't render the video content on the NYT as well. Is it rendering for you?

Thanks.

Coolkid26 and certain, thank you so much! That app is indeed allowing the video content to render.

I just noticed that Weblocker is a system-wide blocker, rather than being a Safari-only blocker. If anyone has ir, can you share if it allows the video content in the NYT, and thus all HTML5 video, to display and playback?
