I have an 1.1.1 and would like to use installer.app. From what I understand I can either use app snap and stick with 1.1.1 or use app snap and do the extra steps to go to 1.1.2. I'd just assume have the latest Apple firmware but it appears that some of the 3rd party apps don't work as well with 1.1.2 as they do with 1.1.1. For those of you who have been working on this, do you agree with that? Am I just better off sticking with 1.1.1? Are new versions of 3rd party apps still working with 1.1.1 when they are upgraded to work with 1.1.2? Any advice on how to think through the issues with this would be greatly appreciated.

Right now I would suggest sticking with 1.1.1 for a while because Im pretty sure 1.1.1 apps are not compatible with 1.1.2 and most havent been made 1.1.2 compatible yet...

I have actually updated 5 iPhones today to 1.1.2 flawlessly. (with the jailbreak in-tact).

I've explained the jailbreak process in another post on this site for those looking to update...

All of the applications that work on 1.1.1, currently work on 1.1.2 with the exception of UIctl (which you need to control FireflyMediaServer, so thats out of the picture too, unless you want to modify your .plist files and LauncherDaemons.)

Other than that upgrading is pretty simple and worth it in my opinion.

A Great question to answer would be...how the hell do you do it? The Upgrade kills what Apptapp has put on the phone. Do you then GO BACK ot jailbreak me and do it that way...?

Why is there NO ONE SINGLE THREAD that has anything to do with this?
