Add an independent search bar to Safari

I find it infuriating when I quickly type something into Safari's url bar so I can search for it and it breaks out and only has half the text or it guesses a website.
Is there a way of incorporating an independent search bar similar to the old Safari?

What do you mean by "breaks out"?

And the quicker I type, the more this occurs.

It only seems to occur when the page is on Facebook for some reason.

That doesn't sound right. Perhaps something strange is going on. You can perhaps try clearing Safari data from settings to see if that gets things back to normal.

It happens on both my MacBook Pro and my new MacBook.
