Add Apple eGift Card to Wallet

How do I add an Apple e gift card to my Wallet App? It's an email from CashStar (Apple credit card rewards) and only has the card number and pin. No link to add to Wallet, no QR code or anything. I've seen I can manually add cards in Wallet, but that seems to be for bank cards. Oddly the internet and my Google skills have not turned up much but old outdated articles. Thanks.

In Wallet, click on ‘Edit Passes’, then ‘Scan Code’. Scan the QR code and it opens in Safari. From there, there is an option to add it to your Wallet.
Without a QR code I don’t think it can be done.
Not very intuitive...

Don't think it's possible for Apple Store. But for iTunes & iTunes App Stores, a clunky way to do it.

You can’t. You need to print it and take it to the store. Or just show them the email. The other option is request physical cards in the future vs email. They will mail you regular cards that have the QR codes.
