Hey all. New to the Forums here. I searched around for this question for a while but haven't found anyone with an answer or with the same problem. I doubt its just me though so maybe someone can direct me to a link that tells me how to solve this.

First things first.
I'm a NOOB. (and i'll admit it.)
Talk to me about double scroll Ball-Bearing Turbo setups and Stand-Alone ECU management and I can hold my own.
However, when it comes to computers i'm at a total loss
(this means please don't use technical language to answer my question. I won't get it)

So i got an iPhone4 last December Its a 32G I'm on contract with Bell Canada. (Not sure if this matters)
I downloaded IOS5 and put it on my phone about a week after it came out. and everything was great. Then a week later the little square + sign in the top corner of my Contacts app disappeared as soon as the app loads. If i close the app and re-open it it appears while the app is loading. As soon as it loads it disappears again though. So i can't add contacts unless they text or call me first. Or i write their number in my notepad and then click the number and click add to new contact.

Anyone know how to fix this??
(I have 2 more problems for you as soon as this one is fixed.)

First of all, Welcome to forum.

Second is to try to reset the app.

1. Open the Contact.app
2. Once opened, Hold the Power button until you see the "Slide to Power Off" screen.
3. (At this point, do not turn it off) Now hold the Home button for 5-10 seconds, or until the app closes (this is a force quit).
4. Now double click on the Home button to get the Multi-Task tray, then press and hold any app until they begin to jiggle. Then delete the app by press the red minus sign.

Now try to open the Contact.app again to see if the same issue persists.

Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate your effort but that hasn't worked. I tried it about 5 times as well as a random assortment of those steps in other orders including turning the phone off halfway through completely.

Any other idea's?

Do what the person above said, then do a Hard Reboot. (Hold down Power and Home Button until the phone shuts down. Then turn it back on)

Ok. Tried this three times. Still doing the same thing.
Any other idea's? Is there a way to totally reinstall IOS 5?
