Hi:

I have the following situation:
-main Mac partition on Container disk 118 GB
-Data partition total 369 GB (DADRA_2)
-empty partition created when I was trying to resize things 20GB (untitled)

I want to move the 20GB to my main partition because right now I don't have enough space to install Mojave. (I have high sierra). I can't figure out how to do even when I boot into Recovery Mode and use Disk Utility. How do I add the 20GB space to my main partition? (Disk Utility screenshot attached)

I'm probably just misreading but can't you just right click untitled and then click delete volume?

Your screenshot sheds little light as it is too far down the disk tree. Your 2 partitions of interest are higher up in the structure than your OS volume. With AFPS it is usually wiser to create, modify and delete volumes rather than partitions as they can all share the same space.

I deleted the one volume of 20 GB. So I have a 359 GB data drive called DADRA_2, a 120 GB container below that contains the OS, then container disk 1 that is 20 GB. It seems I can't delete the last container...is there any way to add space to the OS volume?

Not much higher on the tree - click on the drive itself at the top of the list. At the moment you are looking inside individual partitions when you want to manage all of them.

OK, added one further up the tree
