Add Video Card to MBP???

Im looking to add a second external display to my 17" C2D MBP for working with Final Cut Pro....

-I would be working w/ lid closed, and one of the displays will be connected via the DVI port.

-I have found i can add a second video card somehow (im guessing through USB, FW, or the ExpressCard 34 slot) OR i can split the signal using something like DualHead2GO.

-Which one of these would be better, adding a Video Card, or splitting the DVI

-What is a good Video Card to use/ How would it connect?

(Both Monitors are Flat CRTs so they can be VGA or DVI)

WTB: USB/Firewire GPU. Must handle Half Life 2 at 1920 x 1600!
