I couldn't justify the cost of one of the new dual drive 27" iMacs, so I compromised :p and replaced the 1TB WD Caviar Black disk drive in my current iMac "Core 2 Duo" 3.06 27-inch (Late 2009) with a Mushkin Enhanced Callisto 240GB SSD from Amazon.com.

Overall, it was a pretty painless process. The ifixit guide was invaluable!

Decent speed... how much was that drive?

Mine (64 GB Kingston SSDNOW+):

how interesting! How much of a speed boost did you notice in day to day usage? Does this void the warranty on the machine?
