Ok.... I would like to add 1300 contacts from my school to the address book.

I have people listed like this that I can copy and paste

Jonathan (Jon) Doe '09
H: (123) 456-7890

and then a list of everyones email / a link next to their name

I need to add these to address book. how should I do that. It would be nice to have e-mail, but that might be too hard

Thanks,
-Ted

If you have access to Excel, then, based on the following from Address Book's built in help:

When importing text files, Address Book uses labels in the file to know how to import the information into your address book database. For example, Address Book uses the label "Last name" in a text file to match up the corresponding information with "Last name" in your card template. In CSV files, a label appears before each item of information. In tab-delimited files, one set of labels appears at the beginning of the file that tells how the rest of the file is organized. Therefore, it is helpful to export information from another application in a standard format in order to import the information into Address Book

What sounds easiest is to create a tab-delimited file with the appropriate header row. You can have any of the fields you want, but you have to format it before you put it in Address Book. So I think Excel would probably be the easiest way to accomplish that.
