I was just on a call, and was trying to create a new contact and take down someone's phone number, that the caller was telling me.

But, I couldn't figure out how to do it. I tried typing it on the Keypad during the call, but then there was no "add" button, and the number I'd entered was lost when I ended the call.

I tried again, going into Contacts this time, but again there was no Add option. Also, pressing the home button, and then Phone, just takes you back to your call, and not the usual Phone screen.

The only option seems to be to enter it in Notes, or an email etc.

Surely this isn't true? Simple Nokia etc. phones have had this feature for years...

You can save the number directly in your text, just tap the blue arrow! But, I mean when you're actually on a call. On most phones you can enter a number and choose to save it, while you're on a call.

Yes I know! The iPhone detects numbers and emails embedded in txts, just tap the arrow to the right of the text with the number in, and you'll have the option to save it :)

I'm just surprised you can't add a number while on a call. Grr.
