Hi,

I have the following network setup:
An Airport Extreme as a main router, a second Airport Extreme connected via a network cable and a switch to the main Airport Extreme and which is used as an access point only (same SSID, password).

Can I connect another access point to the main Airport Extreme (again via a cable through a switch), but from another brand (TP-Link)?

Thanks,
Avi

Sure, but I have experienced some wonkiness when I did this with Synology. Basically the Airport WiFi network was unreliable despite using different SSID. Synology was my base router.

Generally, it may be better to stick with a single vendor.
