Adding an External DRD Burner

Like many I am attempting to stream my entire DVD library on my Apple TV via an external TB HDD. Again, like many I use Handbrake. The process is slow going and at my current rate I'll be at this a year from now.

What about adding an external DVD burner/reader. Will this speed up my process or just slow down my other mac functions or slow down Handbrake?

Opinions? Any fave DVD burners out there?

External Burner will make no difference. Getting a Mac Pro is the best solution.

the best way is to copy your dvd's to your hard drive and then set them up in a queue in handbrake and let it run overnight
