I'm using a MacBook Pro (Retina 13-inch, Late 2013) with a 2,8 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR 3 RAM. Graphics chip is Intel Iris 1536 MB. My operating system version is macOS Sierra 10.12.2.

I started to have a problem with my retina screen recently. Specifically, the display content does not fit any more to the MacBook screen on the left side. In other words, a small part of the display content is cut off vertically.

I decided to get a new laptop but as a temporary solution until I get the new one, I would like to add an offset to the left side of the display such that the full content still appears properly on the healthy side of the display. I couldn't find any setting under Display Settings in Mac OS where I can apply such an offset.

Is there any way that I can set it up through command line maybe?

My thoughts are... no.
This is a hardware problem.
Either with the GPU, or with the display itself.
